Dear GWL Families,
It has been a great start to the school year! And now, with Fall upon us, there are more exciting events ahead. Students will showcase their talents and entertain audiences in the GWL school play, Disney's Aladdin Jr. No need for a genie; your wish for an amazing show will be granted! And, on Oct. 25th, we hope to see you at the annual SCA sponsored Trunk or Treat event held at Tappen Beach Marina. Decorate your trunk, dress up, and join us for what is sure to be a boo-tastic good time!
We encourage everyone to join us for our October SCA member meeting on Tuesday, October 22nd at 7:30 PM at La Spezia located at 400 Glen Cove Ave in Sea Cliff. This is a wonderful opportunity to hear about what is happening in our school, learn how you can become more involved, and meet other parents. The SCA plays an integral role in the additional enrichment programs our children enjoy throughout the year and it can only happen with community support and involvement. At the member meeting, we will be voting on the 2024-2025 SCA budget. There will be appetizers and a cash bar. We look forward to seeing you there!

As a welcome back & thank you, the SCA gifted the teachers a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card. The SCA sponsored the DJ, inflatables, cotton candy and popcorn at the Back to School BBQ. As part of the SWES program, the 4th grade classes participated in the Journeys Into Indian Territory enrichment program with Mrs. Marcantonio. Classes had the exciting opportunity to rotate into different Native American stations throughout a school day.
